DIVA Platform Availability¶

[!TIP] Pre-installed on DIVA: gathering is already pre-installed, pre-configured, and directly available in all user workspaces and Jupyter notebook environments across the DIVA platform. You can import and use it immediately without any manual setup:

import gathering
from gathering.pipeline import Pipeline, Task

Standard Installation (pip)¶

For external environments or dedicated virtual environments:

pip install gathering

To upgrade an existing installation to the latest release:

pip install --upgrade gathering

Requirements¶

• Python: 3.10, 3.11, or 3.12
• OS: Linux, macOS, Windows

Repository Access & Collaboration¶

[!IMPORTANT] Private Repository: The gathering source repository is maintained in a private internal repository. End users do not have direct access to the repository code.

If you wish to: - Collaborate or contribute new data sources - Integrate custom missions or instruments - Report bugs or request enhancements

Please contact the DIVA platform administrators to coordinate contributions, plugin development, or custom data source integrations.

Verify Installation¶

Check that the CLI and modules are accessible:

# Check the CLI is available
gathering list

# Or run via Python module
python -m gathering list

You should see a summary table listing all supported atmospheric and spaceborne data sources.
