ESA · Virtual Research Environment

DIVA is a Python-based research environment for atmospheric science with the data and the algorithms already installed. No compilers, no libraries, no infrastructure to build — open your browser and start developing.

A research environment, preconfigured and ready.

DIVA is a pilot hub to collect, handle and exploit ground-based and satellite data — built with INOE, GRASP SAS, LuftBlick, CNRS-LOA, TROPOS and FMI under ESA.

01 — Direct data access

ACTRIS, AERONET, EARLINET, CLOUDNET and satellite data — collocated and reachable from the environment, no downloads or wrangling required.

02 — Algorithms ready to use

GRASP, GRASP-CCS and NATALI come preinstalled and configured. Import an algorithm, prepare your input, execute — the toolchain is already there.

03 — Collaborative by design

An online, shared workspace with user management, tutorials and worked examples — built to develop synergistic algorithms together.

The data is already in the room.

Ground-based networks and satellite data, collocated and reachable from inside the environment — no portals to scrape, no formats to reconcile.
